Bergom is a hamlet in the north of the municipality of Herselt in the Belgian province of Antwerp. It is located on the Grote Nete, adjacent to the princely domain De Merode. Although the hamlet is under the influence of Westerlo, the center of which is directly across the Grote Nete.
Old records mention the place Berchem. The area belonged to the lordship of Herselt, but parochially fell under the Sint-Lambertus parish of Westerlo. Due to a growing population, the hamlet got its own parish in 1952, dedicated to Our Lady Ascended to Heaven.
