The Marina is absolutely charming. From it's wonderful variety of foods to it's music and wonderful scenery. You can sit by the water and enjoy the marvellous ambience. This area is anchored by a marina and condo complex that looks like it could be part of San Diego. Clean, modern and full of Americans (many of them no-doubt retirees residing in Mexico), it is very nice and interesting for those who like to spend some time checking out the mega-yachts that can be found there. If you take any of the water-based tours that operate out of Puerto Vallarta, you will likely board your boat at the huge, sterile cruise-ship dock that lies in this general vicinity.
