rocks, cape (geography)
In 1898 during the month November, a German expedition of Karl Chun on board the "Valdivia" carefully studied Bouvet Island region. They found only one island and concluded that Cape Circumcision of Our Lord, Lindsay Island and the island of Liverpool - is one and the same island, which was named Bouvet Island. By measuring the longitude of the island at 1 January 1739, Bouvet (Jean-Baptiste Charles Bouvet de Lozier) made a mistake at 250 km. The Chun expedition failed to land. The Cape, obviously, was named after the ship.
