Olympia park (Saint Petersburg)

Russia / Sankt Petersburg / Saint Petersburg

This is one of the newest gardens in the Petersburg centre. It was founded after WW2. There used to be the famous Klinsky Market, and the ''Olimpiya cinema'' until 1941. In the end, both were destroyed by a German air-raid. The garden was laid out in 1947, and just a few months later they started reshaping it. The position of the paths was changed, new trees were planted and a grey stone fence was built around.
