Salt Lake City Park named after Utah baseball legend, Herman Franks (born 1914, died 2009)
Franks was born in Price in 1914 and raised in Salt Lake City, starring at East High before signing a professional baseball contract at the age of 18. He was one of the first Utahns to make a major league roster, but he made his mark on the game as a manager for the San Francisco Giants (1965-68) and Chicago Cubs (1977-79).
The park bearing his name contains baseball fields, grassy areas, play areas and a dog only area on the southeast end.
