Developed in 1895 5km to the west of Wyalong, it was for years a rival to Wyalong, and is now the larger town, and the headquarters of Bland Shire. Wyalong District is the largest cereal-growing area in NSW, and a major producer of eucalyptus oil, which is exported worldwide.
