The first car, Saab 96, was delivered on November 13, 1969. It was donated to Mr. Urho Kekkonen, the President of Finland. Today the car is in the museum near the factory.

Since the production start on November 13, 1969 the company has produced 1,1 million passenger cars, including 740,000 Saab cars, over 30,000 Chrysler Talbot cars, over 90,000 Opel Calibra cars, 14,000 Euro-Samara cars and over 200,000 Porsche Boxster and Cayman sports cars.
