WN 60 Omaha beach

France / Basse-Normandie / Colleville-sur-Mer / Révolution
 Second World War 1939-1945, fortification

This is Widerstandsnest 60 this exact spot held a Renault tank turret on D-Day. It included two 75mm guns in open emplacements . In addition, several Vf bunkers are around the area, hidden in the summer brush. The trenches here are in great shape, better then most other visited Omaha sites.

I just found an old Watch in one of the bunkers in WN 60. Write to as.skjoedt2gmail.com for a Photo. The Watch is with the inscription: ARGENTAN and 4-8-36-404 I think 404 is from Korps-Nachschub-Trupp 404
