Ysleta Lutheran Mission Human Care is a faith-based, 501c(3), non-profit organization that provides relief and human care services while planting and nurturing missions on the U.S./Mexico border (El Paso/Juarez Region). Founded in 1982 YLM provides aid and ministry services that benefit the lives of thousands of people every year. Ysleta Lutheran Mission is a Recognized Service Organization of the Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod.

San Pablo congregation in the “Ysleta” community of El Paso is the original mission of YLM. It has grown to 340 members with an average of 200 worshiping at the Spanish and English services on Saturdays and Sundays. Bible studies, confirmation, first communion, and Sunday School classes are held weekly. Located in the middle of an “Empowerment Zone” San Pablo serves one of the poorest communities in the U.S., and its members live throughout the El Paso area.

Dr. Karl Heimer de la Cotera is the senior pastor/director of San Pablo.
