La Orilla is a Neighbourhood occupying the land of what was the main house of the Hacienda "La Orilla". It consists of around 300 houses and some small apartment buildings. It was meant originally to provide housing to engineers working in the construction of a hydroelectric power station. Then it was bought by a steel mill construction project. Houses were eventually sold to the workers.
