Cimpatichny two-storey house in an eclectic style. Under the openwork balconies forged bars for original wooden doors are now hidden premises of the Committee on Construction, Urban Development and Housing and Communal Services. Previously, there lived the first guild merchant, sugar-one of the richest people of Kiev Simcha Lieberman. The mansion was built in 1880 by architect Vladimir Nikolaev specifically for the merchant.
On the second floor of the house the family lived son Simcha Lieberman. Ground floor merchant's family handed over to the widow of Major-General Alexander Benois. The general's apartment occupied 12 rooms, two hallways, kitchen.
After the October Revolution 1917 nationalized the house.
