A scenic village in the Northern Range in Trinidad. Originally settled by a French count, Lopinot is now home to descendants of Venezuelan cocoa farmers. At Christmas time, they sing 'parang' music accompanied by the cuatro, violin, guitar, box bass and chac-chacs. The historical site of the old Count's house is a local tourist attraction.
