Geri (Greek: Γέρι) is a town in Cyprus, 10 kilometres (6.2 mi) south-east of the capital Nicosia and about 4 km away from the University Campus, the Nicosia General Hospital and the National Park. In 2001, it had a population of 6,643. As of 2011, its population was 8,235. Following a referendum in 2011, Geri has become a municipality. Unfortunately, a part of the village has been occupied since 1974 whereas another smaller part is in the buffer zone.
