A shadow of its former glory, perhaps. Blackpool North is the main station in the seaside resort of Blackpool. It has eight platforms and is the terminus for trains to Preston, Manchester, Liverpool and Leeds. It was formerly known as Talbot Road station, and originally saw far many trains. It is managed by Northern Rail who provide most of the services; Transpennine Express operate a couple of others. Security measures are sometimes in place for tourists.
