This is the western portion of the former railroad right-of-way that skirted the north side of the tailings pond before the pond was expanded to the north. It met the place titled "Abandoned 'tailings area' railroad route, east." This is shown in Benchmark's "Utah Road and Recreation Atlas" (2004 edition, pages 42-3).
