Only surviving outbuilding from a larger estate built in the 1800's to a design by Samuel Adams Warner, its Swiss style architecture lent itself to the name of the establishment, which has been in operation as The Chalet for three decades.

At one point Newsday labeled it the "Cheers" of Long Island. It is now an event space.
