  • This place used to be one of the biggest military areas in former USSR. In spite of regular military aircraft training noone could prevent civilians from penetrating into the shooting range. There is no precise information about the number of casualties among civilians who got there in search of scrap metal. Children from neighboring villages of Chersk, Zayachivka and Povursk often used the territory as a playground. As a result there must have happened cases of injuries.
