The Rondout-West Strand Historic District is a riverfront neighborhood in Kingston, NY which contains historic business, residential and industrial buildings dating to the mid-19th-century period of rapid growth of Rondout when it became the terminus of the Delaware and Hudson Canal. Today, the area contains a number of restaurants, bars and waterfront activities

  • The Rondout is evolving into a destination with river cruises, scenic waterfront, dockage, walking tours, bus tours, and is home to the Hudson River Maritime Museum http://www.hrmm.org/rondout/rondout.htm, and the Trolley Museum of NY www.tmny.org (part of the UD Corridor) located in the former rail yard of the historic Ulster and Delaware RR.
