Parndana Conservation Park

An area preserving natural scrubland typical of central Kangaroo Island. The Park also contains steep land dropping to a tributary of the Cygnet River. Found in the park are Kangaroo Island kangaroos and Tammar wallabies.

The Park contains steep terrain dropping from the edge of the Kohinoor Plateau. The vegetation is dominantly EUCALYPTUS BAXTERI / E COSMOPHYLLA open scrub with heath understorey interspersed with smaller areas of E DIVERSIFOLIA / E COSMOPHYLLA and E BAXTERI / E DIVERSIFOLIA / E COSMOPHYLLA with minor areas of E CLADOCALYX woodland.

Condition and Integrity:
The Reserve is in good condition, however the relatively small size of the Park makes it vulnerable to disturbance.

About 310ha, 5km north-east of Parndana off Playford Highway (Borda Road) near Grainger Retreat.
