reef, invisible
A surf spot for the über-advanced. It is not the largest wave in terms of height, but it is arguably the heaviest and most massive. People pronounce it Chopoo, but this actually refers to the surf break itself. Teahupo'o (pronounced tay-AH-hopo) is the name of the village nearest the break and means "broken skulls" in Tahitian.
