Olavarría is a city in the province of Buenos Aires, Argentina. It is the capital of the Olavarría Partido and has over 83,000 inhabitants as per the 2001 census (INDEC).
The settlement was officially founded on November 25, 1867, named in honour of General José Valentín de Olavarría (1801 - 1845) who was an Argentine military leader.
