  Named after Mohan Kumaramangalam who died in a plane crash in 1973. Was used for high profile football and athletics tournaments. Peter Thangaraj who took over as the coach for Bokaro Football team brought in the much needed professional outlook and high quality players (once upon a time all the Bokaro footballers were from the Junior India team and were more than a match for star teams like JCT, Services and Mohd Sporting.
