The "Koepelkerk" is a Dutch Reformed church building of the 17th century. The building of the church was initiated by the city of Groningen's government in 1653. The church was designed with the church of Willemstad (1607) as an example by Coenraet Roelofs and was finished in 1655. The dome-shaped church was rebuilt in 1791 and acquired a cross-shaped roof. The original situation was recreated in 1990. The Koepelkerk is a state monument and carries the inventory number 22269.
