The old "palace" after which the village of Ksar Hadada was named. It's said that the palace was built about 100 to 120 years ago. The population of the village is about 2500. Most of the families of Ksar Hadada used to own one room in the old Ksar (palace) before it was used -in part- by the local authorities as a hostel for passing-by tourists. Today (2009) the hostel is closed, and the building is an attraction for local and international visitors since it was used as a shooting site for the movie Star Wars.
