Built in 1953 and becoming home the 926th Aircraft Control and Warning Squadron in October of that year, this location operated as a GCI location in the Goose AB Air Defense Sector of the USAF Air Defense & Northeast Air Command. Equipped with AN/FPS-3C, AN/FPS-502, AN/FPS-20A search radars and AN/TPS-502 Height Radars, the mission of the 926th was to track unidentified airborne aircraft and guide Interceptors of the 64th Air Division at Goose Air Force Base to them in the event of Soviet attack.

The 926th operated out of this location until November of 1961 when the Squadron was inactivated and much of the site infrastructure either relocated or razed. Today the site houses air traffic and automated weather radars and recording equipment operated by the Canadian Government.
