Kenya Accountants and Secretaries National Examinations Board (KASNEB)is a corporate body established by the Government of Kenya on 24 July 1969. The Board operates under the provisions of the Accountants Act (Cap. 531) of the Laws of Kenya. The Board develops, administers, manages and conducts examinations at professional and technician levels in accounting, finance, administration, management and cognate subjects. The Accountants Act is buttressed by the Certified Public Secretaries Act (Cap. 534) of the Laws of Kenya. The two Acts of Parliament provide the legal pillars for the Certified Public Accountants and Certified Public Secretaries Professions. The two professions are supported and supplemented by corresponding technician qualifications.
