The former hydro-quarries on the output of the sand. they used sand resources for construction needs and when resources were gone they dug a canal to the Psel river and let the water in. Overtime the Blue Lakes started being used by the citizens to get away and cool off during hot summers. People come here to swim, fish or even just hang out on the beach...
