The church is located in the municipal district of Silanus (NU).
The building has an original plant, which suggests the pre-existence of a Late Roman or Byzantine system, changed the eleventh century. It is a central rotunda covered by a dome and apse is flanked by two rectangular chambers covered in wood and also concluded apses to the east. The construction materials are limestone and basalt.
For the lower part of the building have been used great blocks of basalt from the dolmen which is located behind the church. The upper part is characterized by light-colored basalt, where there are two rows of blocks in andesite, used for decorative purposes.
