Sas Conzas (tanneries) (Bosa)

Located on the left bank of the river Temo, a short distance from the Ponte Vecchio, "Sas Conzas" (tanneries), are an important example of industrial architecture of Sardinia.
The buildings, articulated on two floors, are distinguished both by their arrangement in rows, and for the simplicity of the exterior in the traditional facade decorated with red trachyte. On the ground floor there were, in addition to a well and the presses, large tanks in the wood-paneled walls in which they were immersed skins.
The proximity to the river was due to the necessity of huge amounts of water. On the upper floor, connected to the bottom by a wooden staircase, were placed a small office, in which he took care of the administration of the assets, and finishing machines.
