Dime

The most impressive city of Roman times in the Fayum Oasis. Once the city was located directly on the banks of lake Qarun, but the waterlevel of the lake fell drastically so that Dime ruins now are high above the lake level. The main road ended at the lake once, but now in the desert sands.
