Vazisubani - (Vazi - vine tree, Ubani - quarter) is one of the biggest villages in Gurjaani district. At the beginning the village was named - Uriatubani (Uria - Jew) because it was founded by the Jews, who where working and making business in Kakheti. After a 50s, when the main population of Vazisubani contained Georgian families, people preferred to rename the village. Because of large vine crop, people decide to name the village as we have now.
