  • The cape is dividing point between the Indian and Atlantic oceans.Just South of Cape Agulhas the warm Agulhas Current that flows south along the east coast of Africa retroflects back into the Indian Ocean. On opposite sides of the Cape the vegetation and wildlife changes more and more as you move further west or east as the warming or cooling effects of the different ocean streams have quite a substantial impact on "life on the land." Not as spectacular as the terrain at the Cape south of Cape Town, but a nice quiet side trip if you have your own vehicle.
