Ecolonia is developed in the 90's as an experimental 'woonerf'. In the core of this neighbourhood the houses are build with sustainable building materials and constructions. Furthermore in the paving of the street no difference has been made between the driving routes, parking area's and walking area's, so there is a clear distinction with the adjacent neighbourhoods
