City in southern part of Norway, administrative centre of Østfold county, has a municipality status.
Sarpsborg is Norway's third eldest town, founded in the year 1016 as the city of Borg. It was the capital of Norway until 1030, when it's founder, king Olaf the holy, was killed in battle.
