Pendock Old Church (Holy Redeemer)

Much of this church is Norman although the 10th century font suggests an even earlier building. There are good 16th century pews and Jacobean communion rails. Sir Edward Elgar may have played the little Georgian organ.

Earthworks in fields north of the church mark the site of the mediaeval village and probably the de Pendocks’ manor house.
