PRABHAT ZARDA FACTORY was the first organized endeavour to produce chewing tobacco in the state of Bihar, so it is an epoch and led to the beginning of Industrialization of tobacco trade in India.In 1952,under the proprietorship of Shri Lalit Kumar Arya the foundation of PRABHAT ZARDA FACTORY was laid down in Muzaffarpur,Bihar, India.
Production of chewing tobacco,flavour,fragrance,&Attar was the traditional occupation of the family but it was in the form of cottage industry.Late Shri Chaturbbuj Ram was an immaculate and pioneer perfumer in the trade and his firm M/s ChaturbbujRam Perfumers had a goodwill, quality& consistency of the products.The firm engaged itself in the production of loose PanMasala ,Varakdar Goli,Pan Ki Chatni and Usha Quiwam .
As Shri Lalit Kumar Arya has a special knowledge of taste and fragrances, he innovated a better quality Zafrani Patti and the product Ratna No 64 was launched and greatly accepted & liked by the people throughout the country.
Being a quality product, it gained immense popularity instantly.This led to the demand of a better quality and taste from the upper section of the society.To cater that a superior quality product was launched with a brand name called Ratna No.300 which burgeoned heights rapidly and is now one of the heights selling flavoured chewing tobacco brand of the world.In the course of time different products were added to their product line Which also includes various premium products like prabhat No.500,Prabhat No.310 and various Numbers of Ratna and Pratibha Zafrani Patti.
