  • Hanau Middle School was closed two years ago. However, in June 2010 it will open again as "Paul Gerhard Schule Hanau (PGS). "PGS" a German private Christian Elementary and High School was found in Hanau only two years ago as a branch of the nearby PGS Kahl (Bavaria). Teachers, children and parents are very thankful to the American Forces, leaving the school in an extremely good condition.
  • Taken from Page 4 of Vol~1 1989~1990 Year book. Hanau Middle School is a new school with a new attitude. Construction for this six million dollar facility began in October 1987 and ended in May 1989. It was built for 750 students with a complete computer lab, home economics room, media center, fully equipped stage, multi-purpose room, typing lab, gymnasium, art room, science labs, 26 classrooms, and an industrial art room, which is still under constriction. Most of the teachers moved in to the school in June 1989 fir the school's opening in August 1989. the student population is approximately 800 and even though the hallways are packed between classes, it's a great facility.
