The Cour d'Honneur of the Alexander Palace.
During WWII, German soldiers occupied and largely destroyed the Alexander Palace, the former home of Nicholas II and his family. The Nazis used the Cour d'Honneur as a cemetery for their soldiers. Excavation of the graves began in 2007-2008.
