Martin Baumgartner served in WWII and went on to become the local Post Master. Original one family house was built around 1935, when this area was rural with farms and fields. Emigrated to the USA in 1960, his son became an Engineer with Bell Telephone Laboratories and worked on a project for the Pentagon. The original home was torn down in 1972. Family members built the current home of 5 apartments. Mr. Baumgartner's sister still resides in one unit.
