The settlement was first mentioned in a document from 1233. The stable of the stud-farm built in 1906 is a relic of agrarian history. Roman findings were unearthed in the boundary of Csénye. Its church is dedicated to St. John of Nepomuk, with one of the county-s oldest parish offices nearby. Another attraction of the village is the Calvary Street with a 19th century chapel at its end. Population: abt. 580.
