The settlement was first mentioned in 1217. In the Árpád Dynasty's period it was the Queen's estate as evidenced by the name of a former village, Fámia, retaining the memory of Queen Euphemia, wife of Kálmán I. Its church is dedicated to the Holy Trinity. It is a very quiet and peaceful settlement. Population: abt. 300.
