The founders of Chhota Udepur are the direct descendants of the famous Hindu King Prithviraj Chauhan, who bravely fought against the Muslim invaders and was immortalized in `Prithviraj Raso' a romantic-heroic ballad, narrating the love of Samyukta and Prithviraj.
