Old-Prussian fortification Partegal

The Old-Prussian (Balti tribe) medieval castle or fortification Partegal was built here on the Nußberg in 1239 by the heathen Prussians. It was one of the last built castles by the Prussians. In 1240 the site was conquered and destroyed by the German Order.
