The village Thierenberg had a "Backsteinbau" church of ab. 1270, situated on a slight hill. This place can only reached by foot. The settlement and church were damaged during the war, but were demolished from 1946 for the use of building a nearby airfield. In 1987, some remains of the church and cemetery could be seen. Nowadays the place is hardly visible. The German inhabitants were evacuated on 29 January 1945 and the Soviet Red Army conquered the settlement on 1 February. It was recaptured by German forces on 14 April 1945.
