Veerhaven Rotterdam is part of the historic Scheepvaartkwartier (Maritime Quarter), and is situated on the north side of the River Nieuwe Maas between the Euromast and the Erasmus Bridge. Coming in from sea, there are no obstacles such as bridges or locks. This makes the harbour ideal for sailing ships that go to and from the sea.
