Built by the Harnett family, who emigrated from England in 1889 and settled on a farm nearby, and who had 14 children. Many of their progeny became leaders in the educational, civic and cultural development of Long Beach. The house is a splendid example of Tudor Craftman architecture, located in the Sunrise Boulevard Historic District. Remodeling was done in 1944 by eminent architect Kenneth Wing Sr.
