Significant milestones in the history of the church :In 1635 a wooden church was built . It was a one-nave church, which has space in the building failed.
The first written records about building a new church dates from 1655 - 1658. It was a chapel, which today serves as the entrance to the church.According to the accounts of the church after a fire in 1775 and rebuilt and expanded. Built on the new clock tower.In 1877 a fire engulfed the church.Thanks to Earl Edmund Zichy and gifts especially for families Murínová was renewed for a year.Construction was carried out in the Romanesque style typical for the church buildings of that period.During a fire in 1906 burned the roof of the tower and the 13.7.1917 Austro-Ungarn suzerain bells requisitioned for the purpose of front. New church bells came for 7 years.Their solemn blessing was on 08/09/1924 and was an important event for believers surroundings. Major repair of the church took place in 1920.Ceiling painting was painted by Mr. Vanek of Prague. This decoration was used throughout the 30 years.In 1930 two were built confessional , was restored and fitted with new floor bench. Around the church was fortified stone wall. In the second passage of the front World War the church was extensively damaged. The church burned and the fire bells were melted. After the hardships second World War II commenced its faithful restoration , even if only provisionally . The tower was AET in 1947 for the location of the metallic structure of 4 new bells. The company said the Roman Manoušek Czech Brno. Offerings were purchased from American Slovaks and local believers. Are dedicated to Sv. Simon and Jude , St. .Cyril and Methodius, patron Our Lady of Sorrows Slovakia Sv . St. Catherine and the death knell . Joseph. Ceremonial dedication of the new bells made Spiš Zákamenného native of Bishop, Msgr. John Vojtaššák in 1948 for the participation of numerous believers.
