Isle of Duck (Reykjavik)

Iceland / Hofudborgarsvaedi / Seltjarnarnes / Reykjavik

A free state in the middle of Reykjavík Pond (Tjörnin).
Founded in the early 70's by two young hippies as a protest to the fascist regime at the time.

Still run and inhabited only by it's founders.

Many attempts have been made by the government to overthrow the commune and annex the Isle of Duck
into Iceland but have always been thwarted by the locals, due to the extremely short coastline and a clear strategic advantage.

Production of the Isle of Duck consists of Marijuana and potatoes.
Marijuana is their only export and the little island is the single biggest provider of cannabis for the greater Reykjavík area.
Around a dozen plants are believed to be cultivated there at any given time.

Due to increased boat patrols in the Reykjavik Pond smugglers have taken to scuba-diving to avoid detection.

Main imports include cigarette paper, handrolling tobacco and bananas.
