Villa La Bolsa is a town and a commune in the department of Santa María, province of Córdoba, Argentina. It is located 3 km west of Anisacate, on the banks of the river of that name, at an altitude of 508 m. It is communicated by paved routes RP5 (it is 45 km from Córdoba capital) and by RP523 (8 km from Alta Gracia). The town's population is 995 inhabitants and 721 dwellings (INDEC, 2010 census) - The commune was founded in 1945, when David Hogg began the subdivision of what was previously the "Estancia El Descanso". The main economic activity is tourism, mainly due to its numerous spas located on the banks of the Anisacate River. Another tourist attraction is the Avenida Argentina, all tree-lined, which marks the limit with Anisacate. You can also visit the irrigation channels that are born in Villa Los Aromos and reach the Anisacate Valley, crossing the entire population. They were built to supply water to the Estancias Las Rosas and El Descanso. The Orthodox chapel, a typical Russian-style temple with domes, colored mosaics and icons characteristic of this cult, is a major tourist attraction.
