Tehsil Bisra, District Sundargarh (Sundargarh), Orissa, Bharat

Bisra is a town and at the political level, it is a Block. Currently much more modern than the wikimapia map shows, this town is the crossroads of a huge amount of business, trade and shopping for most of the nearby towns and villages. Bisra is well known for the limestone factory that was shifted from Bisra to the district headquarter of sundergarh. Even without the limestone factory, the town is growing at a stupendous rate and is supporting more than about 200 villages. The town has ultra-modern facilities which includes number of schools, hospitals shops and small-scale industries. Drainage facility, sanitation, roads and drinking water facility are much better than you can expect in a place like Bisra. Bisra is well connected with both rail and road routes. It lies just 14 kms away from the steel city Rourkela and many trains stop at the Bisra station. the people here are vibrant and quite unlike the morons you meet in many towns. All in all, it is a great place to be.

  • I was born in Birsa. It's a very nice place to grow up as a kid. For most of you work one has to visit Rourkela, the nearest city. Rourkela is in fact well connected by road and rail.
